Job Description

Overview

  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to the patient care team, ensuring high standards of patient satisfaction and safety.
  • Administer professional nursing care to patients, including medication management and treatment coordination.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and maintain quality standards.
  • Organize and manage daily operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in staff training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Document patient care and progress in the electronic health record system promptly.
  • Support inventory management and ensure availability of clinical supplies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants on the care team.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure their completion within scope of licensure.
  • Coordinate daily huddles and review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments following established protocols.
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Manage clinical supplies inventory and ensure operational readiness.
  • Provide feedback on staff performance and assist in recruitment and training processes.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active New York State RN licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in hospital or ambulatory settings.
  • Proficient in electronic health record systems and medical chart reporting.
  • Knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and patient confidentiality protocols.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently, make clinical decisions, and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
