Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily on-site construction activities, including subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality assurance.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to ensure effective communication and progress tracking.
  • Review project plans and specifications to proactively address potential field issues.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to meet deadlines and achieve milestones.
  • Mentor assistant superintendents and field staff, fostering skill development and team cohesion.
  • Develop and sustain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Ensure adherence to established construction methods and standards for optimal results.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; advanced certifications in construction management are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction projects; 12 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing projects within light industrial, healthcare, or higher education sectors.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety management practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred, demonstrating a commitment to safety excellence.
  • Compensation includes a truck allowance or company-provided vehicle for enhanced mobility.
