Overview

  • Lead clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery within medical-surgical units.
  • Provide 24/7 operational leadership, maintaining a visible presence across shifts to support staff and patient care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational priorities and enhance care reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Support professional development and shared governance to foster staff engagement and accountability.
  • Translate organizational goals into effective frontline practices to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Promote adherence to American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) principles and standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership across shifts to ensure consistent patient-centered care delivery.
  • Monitor and validate care processes to achieve quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with nursing leaders and interdepartmental teams to optimize staffing and throughput.
  • Engage in shared governance to uphold organizational values and foster continuous improvement.
  • Support professional development initiatives to enhance staff readiness and engagement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of acute care clinical experience; leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and operational leadership skills.
  • National Certification in Nursing Leadership or clinical specialty preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive quality improvement and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance and patient safety standards.
