- Oversee preparation of financial statements and reports, adhering to GAAP standards.
- Coordinate annual audits, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and collaboration.

- Provide detailed cash flow projections and maintain donor restriction schedules.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review journal entries and financial schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare combined financial statements and reports for month-end close processes.
- Forecast cash flow and provide detailed monthly projections for planning purposes.
- Coordinate with external auditors, preparing schedules and information for audits.
- Recruit, onboard, and train accounting staff, setting goals and evaluating performance.
- Analyze financial data and present insights to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with donor restrictions and maintain accurate release schedules.
- Utilize nonprofit enterprise software for managing financial data and reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional nonprofit accounting experience, including 2 years of team management.
- Proficiency in GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards essential.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other Office applications.
- Experience with nonprofit enterprise software such as SAGE Intacct or similar systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial information.
