Overview

  • Coordinate insurance accounting operations for a dynamic organization, ensuring compliance and efficiency across diverse policies and affiliates.
  • Collaborate with brokers and insurers to streamline processes and maintain accurate records for domestic and international policies.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills to produce detailed reports and documentation supporting insurance operations.
  • Support audits, renewals, and declarations, contributing to the optimization of insurance accounting practices.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in processing payments, transfers, and billings, ensuring timely and accurate execution of insurance-related transactions.
  • Contribute to policy administration and compliance, enhancing operational efficiency and organizational success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage accounting tasks, including payments, transfers, billings, and accounts receivable/payable for insurance policies.
  • Process monthly and quarterly sales reports for domestic, import, and export activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with declarations, certificates of insurance, invoices, and payments for shipping insurance operations.
  • Renew bonds, manage billing and payments, and ensure adherence to established insurance limits.
  • Support audits by obtaining renewal information from affiliates and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with brokers to review monthly statements, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Provide evidence of insurance and certificates to affiliates and subsidiaries as required, ensuring operational support.
  • Request commodity names for product liability accounting rates and manage related administrative tasks effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience working with brokers and insurance companies in accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for creating detailed reports and documentation.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in a multicultural business environment is preferred, showcasing adaptability and cultural awareness.
  • Preferred certifications in insurance or related fields are advantageous, enhancing professional qualifications.
