Job Description

Overview

  • Lead inpatient services operations, ensuring efficient and safe patient care delivery.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and personnel within patient care and intensive care units.
  • Coordinate care, advocate for clinical excellence, and support staff relations.
  • Utilize independent judgment to oversee personnel and budget-focused operations.
  • Promote professional development and continuing education among staff.
  • Contribute to the hospital's mission of high-tech, high-touch patient care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and manage nursing staff within inpatient and intensive care units.
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure efficient unit operations.
  • Coordinate patient care activities to optimize outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery processes.
  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet departmental goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with 2 years in critical care.
  • Unrestricted RN license in Colorado or eligibility to obtain before start.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC; additional certifications preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC systems and bilingual Spanish skills are advantageous.
  • Leadership experience in nursing management roles preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage operations.
