Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review individual tax returns (1040) ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct thorough tax research to provide expert guidance and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Manage multiple client accounts, delivering customized tax solutions and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and implement effective tax strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP/GAAS standards and current tax regulations.
  • Utilize advanced tax software for efficient preparation, processing, and reporting.
  • Engage directly with clients to address inquiries and provide expert tax advice.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred; eligibility requirements must be met.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in individual tax preparation; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing 1040 tax returns with strong attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP/GAAS and tax regulations.
  • Experience with tax software such as ProSystem Tax or OneSource Trust Tax.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills to manage complex tasks effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in remote or hybrid work settings while maintaining productivity.
