Job Description

Overview

  • Lead accounting operations and regulatory reporting for a dynamic financial organization.
  • Directly report to the CFO, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and city regulations.
  • Supervise a team of five accounting professionals, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Manage daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes and reconciliations.
  • Oversee vendor expenses, loan accounting, and escrow processing functions.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, including FFIEC 0051, FR Y-6, and FR Y-9SP reports.
  • Ensure accurate 1099 reporting and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Utilize strong Excel skills and banking accounting knowledge to optimize processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and manage regulatory filings and tax reporting processes.
  • Reconcile investment, loan, and deposit accounts on a regular basis.
  • Oversee vendor expense management and ensure timely processing.
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of accounting staff.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to align accounting practices with organizational goals.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to streamline reporting and analysis tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of banking accounting practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Excel with advanced functions and data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with Jack Henry software preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time, adhering to a structured schedule.
