Overview

  • Lead perioperative services and drive excellence in surgical care delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide leadership and oversight for surgical departments, ensuring operational alignment.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to advance perioperative services.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for optimal efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to accreditation, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead recruitment, retention, and professional development of surgical personnel.
  • Oversee capital planning for surgical equipment and technology upgrades.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted RN license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in surgical nursing; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing surgical services and ensuring compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in strategic planning and operational enhancement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and personnel effectively.
