Overview

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in an outpatient infusion setting, focusing on comfort and safety during treatments.
  • Administer advanced biologic and immunologic therapies following established protocols and clinical standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance care delivery processes.
  • Monitor patient conditions during and after treatments, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation using electronic medical records to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
  • Create a welcoming and professional environment that prioritizes patient trust and satisfaction.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices in infusion therapy.
  • Operate independently in a solo-nurse capacity, managing patient care efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer IV, IM, and SubQ medications with precision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and patient care standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and pre-medication evaluations.
  • Monitor patients during infusion therapy, responding effectively to adverse reactions or complications.
  • Prepare and organize medications and supplies to streamline infusion sessions and ensure efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments and patient responses in the EMR system.
  • Communicate patient progress and concerns with healthcare providers and team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold patient confidentiality standards at all times.
  • Provide clinical insights and support to enhance the quality and effectiveness of care delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing, eligible for Maryland licensure.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, ideally in infusion therapy or acute care settings.
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and electronic medical record documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage patient care in a solo-nurse environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during shifts.
