Job Description

Overview

  • Manage full-cycle property accounting for multiple assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and vendor payments.
  • Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all property-level accounts.
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, including variance analysis and reporting packages.
  • Collaborate with property management and corporate finance teams on budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist with audit support, tax schedules, and ad hoc reporting requests from leadership.
  • Gain exposure to broader corporate finance functions and portfolio-level analysis.
  • Maintain detailed financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Own full-cycle property accounting, including general ledger, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Manage accounts payable processes end-to-end, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for bank and cash accounts, ensuring data integrity.
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, preparing variance analysis and reporting packages.
  • Collaborate with property management teams on operational reporting and financial planning.
  • Assist with audit preparations, tax schedules, and leadership reporting requests.
  • Support HR-related processes and overall office operations as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies across all tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in property accounting or accounts payable roles.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with full-cycle accounting processes and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for variance analysis and reconciliations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including property management.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements in accounting practices.
  • Preferred experience in corporate finance functions and portfolio-level analysis.
