Overview

  • Ensure product quality through meticulous inspections, utilizing advanced tools and adhering to engineering standards for manufacturing excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives effectively.
  • Perform first article inspections and contribute to supplier quality evaluations to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain calibration of inspection equipment to guarantee precision and operational accuracy in quality assessments.
  • Analyze quality metrics and generate detailed reports to support informed decision-making processes.
  • Enhance manufacturing processes by applying quality assurance expertise and recommending improvements.
  • Support the development of quality standards and procedures to align with industry best practices.
  • Contribute to achieving operational success by ensuring product reliability and compliance with technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct detailed inspections of machined parts using precision tools and equipment to verify compliance with engineering drawings.
  • Document inspection findings and communicate results to relevant teams for corrective actions.
  • Perform first article inspections and assist in supplier quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly to maintain accuracy in assessments.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Monitor quality trends and recommend improvements to enhance product reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on quality metrics and defect analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Support the implementation of quality standards and procedures to align with industry best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in an engineering or technical field is required; AAS preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and SPC methodologies.
  • Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with CMM operation or programming is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of quality processes, including NCR, MRB, and CAR procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure product excellence.
