Concrete Foreman

Overview

• Lead concrete construction operations for commercial projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to timelines.
• Coordinate structural concrete activities, including layout, formwork, rebar installation, pours, finishing, and curing.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to maintain workflow and resolve field challenges effectively.
• Enforce safety standards and compliance, fostering a secure and productive work environment.
• Monitor manpower, productivity, equipment usage, and material deliveries to optimize project execution.
• Conduct planning meetings and maintain detailed jobsite documentation for accurate project tracking.
• Ensure quality control standards are met throughout all phases of concrete construction work.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to field crews, promoting skill development and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily concrete construction activities on commercial job sites.
• Lead field crews and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules for accurate project execution.
• Coordinate layout, formwork, rebar installation, concrete pours, finishing, and curing operations.
• Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to address field issues and maintain workflow.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, ensuring compliance and promoting a safe work environment.
• Monitor manpower, productivity, equipment usage, and material deliveries for project efficiency.
• Conduct daily planning meetings and maintain jobsite documentation for accurate tracking.
• Ensure quality control standards are met throughout all phases of concrete construction work.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications like OSHA 30 preferred.
• 5+ years of concrete construction experience, with leadership or foreman experience preferred.
• Background in commercial, industrial, healthcare, or large-scale projects is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of structural concrete systems and sequencing.
• Ability to manage crews, schedules, and subcontractor coordination effectively.
• Experience reading blueprints and construction documents for accurate project execution.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to guide teams and resolve issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
