Overview

  • Lead tax preparation and review processes for corporate, partnership, and individual filings in a dynamic hybrid work environment.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax research, identifying compliance issues and drafting actionable technical memos.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather essential data, ensuring accurate and timely filings while fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Review workpapers and tax returns prepared by junior staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff, fostering their professional growth and technical expertise.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, overseeing team operations to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated tax and advisory services to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of a thriving mid-sized practice offering diverse financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review complex tax filings for corporate, partnership, and individual clients, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research to identify issues and propose actionable solutions through technical memos.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary data and provide updates on filing progress.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns, adhering to all compliance requirements.
  • Review junior staff workpapers and tax returns for accuracy and adherence to professional standards.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, promoting skill development and professional growth.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, supervising team operations to maintain high-quality output.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax preparation and review; 8 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in conducting tax research and drafting technical memos with actionable insights.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, partnership, and individual tax regulations.
  • Experience mentoring and training junior staff in a professional environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a hybrid work setting.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
