Overview
- Play a pivotal role in syndicated lending operations, contributing to the structuring and execution of complex financial transactions.
- Collaborate with borrowers and financial institutions to foster strong professional relationships and ensure seamless syndication processes.
- Prepare detailed marketing materials, including financial projections and memoranda, to support transaction execution.
- Engage in risk management by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and credit exposure mandates.
- Assist in due diligence and financial modeling to support informed decision-making in syndicated loan transactions.
- Collaborate with servicing departments to ensure proper administration and booking of syndication deals.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for banking services, enhancing client engagement and organizational revenue.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at expanding syndication operations and optimizing financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Support sell-side syndications and buy-side opportunities, aligning efforts with organizational financial goals.
- Prepare and manage marketing materials, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in transaction communication.
- Oversee due diligence information on deal sites, maintaining data integrity and accessibility.
- Communicate syndication trends and opportunities internally, driving informed strategic decisions.
- Assist in risk assessment and exposure management, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Draft and negotiate credit documentation, collaborating with specialists and stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
- Support revenue generation initiatives and contribute to investor build-out objectives.
- Ensure compliance with AML/BSA regulations, completing required training and maintaining industry standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CRE, C-I lending, syndication, or financial services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with borrowers and participant banks.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and collaboration abilities to drive successful transactions.
- Preferred certifications include FINRA 7/79 and NASAA 63 (can be obtained post-hire).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and present effectively in professional settings.
- Experience with third-party systems used in syndication processes is highly desirable.
