Overview

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing strategies and inventory valuation processes.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and organizational growth.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and strengthen internal controls around cost accounting operations.
- Utilize advanced ERP systems and Excel proficiency for detailed financial analyses and reporting.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations and journal entries.
- Identify financial risks and implement effective solutions to support organizational stability and growth.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintain and review standard costs for all SKUs, ensuring accuracy and timely updates within ERP systems.
- Analyze purchase price variances, freight costs, and other deviations, addressing root causes effectively.
- Monitor sales transactions to detect margin erosion and collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and lead reconciliations and cost-related journal entries monthly.
- Strengthen internal controls around costing, markdowns, and margin reporting for financial accuracy.
- Develop and deliver actionable financial reports to senior leadership to aid strategic planning.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy in inventory and financial areas.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in consumer goods or related industries.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with BlueCherry is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and handling large datasets.
- Strong understanding of GAAP standards and inventory controls.
- Highly analytical with proactive risk identification and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
