Job Description

Overview

  • Lead property accounting operations for a hybrid work environment, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and enhance accounting processes.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and team effectiveness.
  • Manage treasury functions, including cash flow projections and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely preparation of financial reports and statements to support decision-making.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and maintain robust internal controls.
  • Contribute to the innovation and strategic growth of the accounting department.
  • Maintain knowledge of budgets and forecasts to align financial operations with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise accounting records and administrative matters for assigned projects and entities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external representatives to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Review and approve funding requests, reserves, and write-offs in compliance with agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards in financial reporting.
  • Oversee general ledger reviews and analysis for accuracy and integrity.
  • Administer financial statement audits and tax preparation processes.
  • Provide guidance on complex ownership and equity structures.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance accounting operations and risk management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation mandatory.
  • Minimum of seven years of professional accounting experience, preferably in public and industry sectors.
  • Three years of management experience with effective people leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate accounting and tax processes.
  • Proficiency in analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage complex ownership structures and financial reporting requirements.
