Job Description

Overview

  • Lead nursing operations in Surgical Services, ensuring optimal patient care and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance operational efficiency and clinical effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive patient satisfaction and outcomes in OR and ASU settings.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Ensure resource allocation aligns with patient needs and operational requirements.
  • Organize and lead educational programs to promote staff competency and current clinical practices.
  • Maintain availability and functionality of supplies and emergency equipment for seamless operations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and policy development to advance patient care quality.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assess nursing needs and allocate resources to ensure high-quality patient care delivery.
  • Prepare patient assignments based on staff expertise and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Promote patient advocacy and address concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Support orientation of new staff and identify ongoing learning opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; professional certification preferred.
  • Licensed and registered under applicable state regulations.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive experience in Operating Room management.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage staff and resources effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement policies for operational and patient care improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
