Overview

  • Lead and oversee Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum units to ensure exceptional patient care and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality maternal and neonatal healthcare services.
  • Drive compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory requirements to maintain accreditation and safety.
  • Provide leadership in a dynamic, patient-focused environment with advanced medical technologies.
  • Ensure efficient resource management and budgeting to optimize departmental operations.
  • Support and mentor a team of healthcare professionals to achieve organizational goals.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff performance.
  • Coordinate services and programs to meet the needs of patients and the community.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily operations of Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum units ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with healthcare standards and organizational goals.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
  • Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial stewardship.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain high standards of care.
  • Collaborate with hospital administration to integrate services and achieve operational efficiency.
  • Lead marketing initiatives to promote departmental services and community engagement.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and excellence within the healthcare team.

Job Requirements

  • Current Florida RN license or recognized Compact Licensure, subject to state requirements.
  • Associate of Science degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery management; 3 years preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and oversee high-volume patient care operations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, marketing, and healthcare service coordination.
