Overview

- Support bid preparation and submission processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
- Stay informed on market trends, material costs, and labor rates to optimize project budgets.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering to enhance project outcomes.
- Engage with clients to discuss project scopes, budgets, and estimation methodologies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, encompassing materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and contracts to determine project requirements and costs.
- Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to gather accurate cost data and insights.
- Develop and maintain estimation templates and databases for consistent evaluations.
- Assist project managers in budget planning and financial forecasting activities.
- Review and validate subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
- Provide technical input during bidding and negotiation phases to support project success.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all estimation practices.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science (AS) degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools, such as Bluebeam or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of construction standards and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost assessments.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse project teams.
- Knowledge of market trends, material costs, and labor rates in the construction industry.
- Experience with ESOP programs and understanding of their benefits is advantageous.
