Job Description

Overview

  • Manage client accounting service engagements, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering accurate financial statements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing inquiries and building strong relationships.
  • Prepare and review tax returns for various entities, ensuring compliance with tax laws.
  • Supervise and develop associates and seniors, fostering professional growth and expertise.
  • Cultivate specialized knowledge aligned with firm initiatives and client needs.
  • Ensure accurate time and billing for self and team, meeting client deadlines.
  • Participate in seminars and networking opportunities to expand client relationships.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and accounting standards, applying changes proactively.
  • Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure efficient delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.
  • Train, supervise, and develop team members, ensuring high performance and expertise.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop a working knowledge of client businesses and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Solicit new client relationships and participate in seminars to expand networking.
  • Apply updated knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards to engagements.
  • Coordinate efforts with other professionals to deliver effective tax services.
  • Hold team members accountable for achieving developmental goals.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and expertise.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting or tax compliance experience.
  • Preferred 10 years of experience in public accounting or professional services.
  • CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification is required.
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of US GAAP and tax compliance.
  • Experience with CCH Access Tax and QuickBooks Online/Desktop is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet client deadlines.
  • Proactive approach to learning and applying new industry knowledge.
