Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage the complete intake process for new patients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information promptly and accurately.
- Receive and process referrals from healthcare providers and community sources efficiently.
- Conduct intake interviews and gather necessary documentation to facilitate patient care.
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage to ensure smooth care delivery.
- Follow up on incomplete referrals and pending documents proactively to avoid delays.
- Track and report intake metrics, including conversion rates and referral sources.
- Handle high call volumes professionally, resolving issues and providing excellent customer service.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science (AS) degree or equivalent educational background is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of direct intake experience, with 3 years preferred.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written, is essential.
- Experience with HHA Exchange and familiarity with ePaces or Zoho systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid processes is advantageous for this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office systems is required.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail are critical for success.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
