Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review patient histories and physician orders to plan and schedule imaging procedures effectively.
- Educate patients on imaging processes, addressing their questions and ensuring their comfort during procedures.
- Prepare and operate imaging equipment, adhering to safety and operational protocols at all times.
- Perform imaging procedures, ensuring compliance with quality standards and patient safety measures.
- Administer contrast media and monitor patient conditions, responding promptly to any adverse reactions.
- Analyze and transmit imaging results, maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize diagnostic accuracy and patient care outcomes.
- Participate in equipment maintenance and quality assurance activities to ensure operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program is required.
- Active ARRT certification and state licensure are mandatory for this role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for patient safety.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required; 2 years preferred.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting imaging equipment is essential.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
