Commercial Estimator

Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop detailed cost estimates using industry-standard software and practices.
• Prepare RFIs, proposals, and takeoffs to support competitive bidding processes.
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to ensure accurate cost assessments.
• Identify scopes of work and compile comprehensive bid lists for execution planning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine project requirements and optimize cost strategies.
• Utilize tools like Bluebeam and MS Project to streamline estimation workflows.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client expectations in all activities.
• Contribute to identifying cost-saving measures and enhancing project efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial estimating experience; 4 years preferred.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, MS Project, and industry-standard estimating software.
• Experience in preparing RFIs, proposals, and takeoffs for construction projects.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in cost estimation processes.
• Ability to identify scopes of work and develop detailed bid lists.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams.
