Overview

  • Lead nursing operations at a dynamic ambulatory surgery center, ensuring exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee clinical departments, including OR, Pre-Op, and PACU, driving efficiency and excellence in care delivery.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention strategies, and risk management protocols to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Foster a collaborative and team-oriented culture, promoting professional development and clear communication across departments.
  • Provide hands-on leadership during surgical workflows and emergency situations, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide clinical and administrative oversight for OR, Pre-Op, and PACU departments, ensuring seamless operations and high standards of care.
  • Lead nursing care delivery in alignment with physician directives and facility policies, maintaining excellence in patient outcomes.
  • Manage quality improvement programs, infection control measures, and staff education initiatives to uphold operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and adherence to professional scope of practice guidelines.
  • Promote operational efficiency and foster a supportive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Support surgical workflows and respond effectively to emergency situations, demonstrating leadership and expertise.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and operational outcomes.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to ensure high competency levels and adherence to best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Active, unrestricted RN license required; state-specific licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in outpatient surgical settings, with orthopedic and spine surgery expertise.
  • Previous experience as an OR Manager or Supervisor is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated administrative and supervisory experience, including infection prevention knowledge.
  • Advanced OR certification or technical training is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and drive initiatives.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
