Overview

  • Take a leadership role in shaping financial strategies within a dynamic insurance organization, driving operational excellence and compliance.
  • Lead consolidated accounting and reporting processes under STAT, GAAP, and EBS frameworks, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with executive teams to design and implement strategic financial initiatives that promote growth and scalability.
  • Mentor and develop finance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Analyze complex financial data to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making and operational optimization.
  • Ensure robust control systems and adherence to regulatory requirements, safeguarding organizational integrity.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance financial infrastructure and reporting capabilities, supporting long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive financial reporting systems tailored to insurance operations.
  • Prepare detailed quarterly financial statements and analyses for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Manage management fee calculations, expense accruals, and budgeting processes for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish effective financial controls and standards.
  • Research and implement strategies to optimize accounting methodologies and reporting workflows.
  • Maintain relationships with external partners, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Support leadership in fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the finance department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance accounting or equivalent roles.
  • Preferred 15 years of experience in investment accounting or financial planning.
  • CPA certification is strongly preferred for this position.
  • Proficiency in STAT, GAAP, and EBS accounting methodologies is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
