Job Description

Overview

  • Drive the development of innovative energy transition projects, focusing on decarbonization, hydrogen production, and carbon capture technologies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment with strategic goals and industry standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders and communities to foster support and build positive relationships for energy initiatives.
  • Utilize advanced financial modeling and market analysis to optimize project outcomes and profitability.
  • Contribute to the modernization of energy infrastructure through sustainable and innovative solutions.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, milestones, and strategic developments.
  • Balance on-site and remote collaboration effectively within a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and execute strategies for energy transition projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Negotiate and manage agreements, ensuring compliance and successful project implementation.
  • Oversee permitting processes, addressing challenges proactively to ensure smooth progression.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including off-takers and consultants.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution and success.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess feasibility and profitability of projects.
  • Travel to project sites and stakeholder meetings as required to support development activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy project development, with 7 years preferred.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale energy projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong financial skills, including expertise in pro forma modeling and NPV/IRR analysis.
  • Comprehensive understanding of US power markets, ISOs, and power generation economics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility to travel and work in a hybrid environment as needed.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and financial credit checks.
