Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage biweekly payroll uploads and allocate monthly benefits with precision and efficiency.
- Perform monthly accrual entries and reconcile multiple bank accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
- Update schedules for prepaid expenses, insurance, deferred rent, and fixed assets regularly.
- Prepare journal entries and analyze financial data for general ledger accounts comprehensively.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes efficiently and accurately.
- Monitor funder payments and assist in program-specific and annual audits diligently.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to accounting standards and organizational deadlines.
- Utilize accounting software and advanced Excel functions to optimize reporting and operational workflows.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with 7 years preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, including nonprofit accounting practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills, is essential.
- Experience with accounting software systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to compile and analyze financial data for accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate and present findings.
