Job Description

Overview

  • Lead strategic government pricing initiatives for a biotechnology company in a collaborative hybrid work environment.
  • Advise cross-functional teams on pricing impacts and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Monitor legislative developments and assess implications for pricing strategies and business operations.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on government pricing methodologies and compliance standards.
  • Support financial planning by advising on gross-to-net assumptions and pricing impacts.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to maintain regulatory compliance and SOX controls.
  • Contribute to strategic pricing initiatives and report directly to the Government Pricing Director.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Calculate and submit government pricing metrics, including AMP, ASP, Best Price, PHS, and FSS/VA.
  • Manage government contracting processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic guidance on pricing implications of commercial contracting decisions.
  • Oversee third-party vendor management for rebate processing across Medicaid, TRICARE, and Medicare Part D.
  • Collaborate with Customer Operations and Order-to-Cash teams for accurate data management.
  • Support audit activities and ensure adherence to SOX controls and compliance standards.
  • Monitor and communicate legislative and regulatory developments affecting pricing strategies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pricing, finance, or contracting within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • At least 5 years of direct government pricing experience with expertise in AMP, ASP, Best Price, PHS, and FSS/VA.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with third-party vendors and rebate processing systems.
  • Familiarity with state Medicaid operations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and present analyses to senior audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization.
