Job Description

Overview

  • Lead tax compliance and reporting for diverse investment entities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and accuracy in filings.
  • Collaborate with portfolio companies and sponsors to gather essential tax data and estimates for reporting.
  • Support tax reporting for new investments, transactions, and complex financial structures, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage estimated tax payments and compliance for special purpose vehicles and related entities.
  • Contribute to international tax reporting, including FATCA/CRS compliance and Cayman Islands requirements.
  • Assist in tax provision work, including ASC 740 and FIN 48 analysis, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Respond to tax-related inquiries from internal teams and investors with professionalism and expertise.
  • Enhance operational processes and compliance strategies within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review and oversee tax filings, including Schedule K-1s, PFIC statements, and foreign filings prepared by external providers.
  • Coordinate with portfolio companies to obtain necessary documentation for accurate tax reporting.
  • Support compliance with FATCA/CRS reporting and international tax requirements, ensuring global regulatory adherence.
  • Assist in preparing tax documents, including Forms W-9, W-8, 1099, and 1042 filings.
  • Conduct tax provision analysis under ASC 740 and FIN 48 standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage estimated tax payments for investment entities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Provide expert responses to tax inquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the tax compliance framework.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of tax experience, ideally within asset management or public accounting.
  • Strong expertise in partnership taxation and flow-through entities.
  • Familiarity with investment funds, SPVs, and complex financial structures is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of international tax reporting and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Big 4 or similar public accounting firms is highly desirable.
