Systems Engineer

Overview

• Lead systems engineering initiatives to enhance IT infrastructure reliability and scalability across hybrid environments.
• Design and optimize virtual networking and systems for seamless operations and improved performance.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline workflows and ensure operational efficiency.
• Manage enterprise storage platforms, ensuring high availability and robust performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and implement backup solutions effectively.
• Contribute to security and compliance efforts within a regulated IT environment.
• Design and implement Active Directory domains and trusts across multi-site environments.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues to ensure system reliability and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Architect and manage Microsoft Hyper-V clusters to achieve high availability and scalability.
• Administer virtual networking configurations, including VLANs and QoS settings, for optimized connectivity.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and operational reporting.
• Design and enforce security models aligned with Role-Based Access Control principles.
• Manage Group Policy Objects for security baselines and software deployments.
• Administer enterprise-grade DHCP and DNS infrastructures for hybrid environments.
• Implement hybrid identity scenarios, including synchronization and single sign-on solutions.
• Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, and performance monitoring tasks.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with security and operational standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows infrastructure engineering roles.
• Expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V within clustered, production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration.
• Experience with hybrid identity architectures and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and VLANs.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and operational workflows.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms and disaster recovery strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for documenting and troubleshooting complex systems.
