Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and implement HVAC systems for a variety of building projects, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to integrate mechanical designs into comprehensive project plans.
  • Perform equipment sizing, selection, and load calculations to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
  • Draft and edit technical specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Utilize software tools like AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed designs and documentation for HVAC systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and exceed client expectations.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in HVAC technologies and industry practices to drive innovation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with 7-10 years of relevant experience in HVAC design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in HVAC equipment sizing, selection, and load calculations using tools like Trane Trace and Carrier HAPS.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and standards, including IMC and NFPA.
  • Experience with chilled water plants, boilers, and combined heating and cooling systems.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD and Revit for mechanical design and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for engineering design and mentoring others within a team environment.
