Overview

  • Manage financial operations for a diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy in cash flow projections and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with property managers and vendors to resolve payment issues and maintain smooth financial operations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, contributing to informed decision-making processes.
  • Utilize advanced accounting systems to process invoices, track expenses, and reconcile accounts efficiently.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and audits, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Engage in special financial projects to enhance operational efficiency and meet strategic goals.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for all financial transactions and activities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process invoices and payments using specialized accounting software, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and manage financial adjustments to maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with vendors for account setup, maintenance, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Prepare detailed monthly financial reports for management review and strategic planning.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of annual operating budgets and financial audits.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations in all accounting activities.
  • Provide support for special projects, contributing to the organization’s financial goals.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records for auditing and reporting purposes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting; 7 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
  • Experience with accounting software like AvidXChange and MDS is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage high transaction volumes effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of real estate financial operations and compliance standards is preferred.
