Assistant Project Manager

Overview

• Support the management of multifamily housing construction projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with senior project managers to achieve project milestones and address challenges effectively.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to streamline project execution and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout all phases of construction.
• Contribute to innovative solutions for project challenges, enhancing overall efficiency and outcomes.
• Oversee on-site construction activities to maintain quality standards and monitor progress.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to project teams, optimizing operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist in planning and managing multifamily housing construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project components.
• Monitor project progress and provide detailed updates to senior management and clients.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans effectively.
• Conduct site visits to oversee construction activities and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Resolve project-related issues and conflicts by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
• Implement quality assurance and control measures throughout all project phases.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies.

Job Requirements

• Associate of Science (AS) degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management or construction; 3 years preferred.
• Familiarity with affordable housing and ground-up construction projects is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage project documentation and stakeholder interactions.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools to create schedules and budgets.
• Ability to work on-site and oversee construction activities effectively.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Problem-solving skills to address project challenges and conflicts proactively.
