Shareholder Services Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee transfer agent policies, call center operations, and compliance testing to ensure service excellence.
- Coordinate fund distributions, including capital gains and dividends, in collaboration with fund administration teams.
- Manage regulatory filings, print vendor relationships, and website updates for shareholder communications.
- Support sales teams by addressing onboarding, prospectus eligibility, and platform distribution inquiries.
- Prepare trade notifications, tax reports, and board meeting materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with audit requests, invoice processing, and recurring reporting tasks to maintain compliance.
- Maintain and update internal workflows, procedure manuals, and investor materials for operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with distribution partners to meet deadlines for operational changes and corporate actions.
Shareholder Services Specialist Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; 7 years preferred for advanced roles.
- Experience with mutual funds, interval funds, BDCs, ETFs, and Irish investment funds is advantageous.
- Knowledge of transfer agency applications, particularly SS&C, is preferred.
- Familiarity with wirehouses, RIAs, and platforms like iCapital and CAIS is beneficial.
- Preferred certifications include Series 6 and 63 for enhanced qualifications.
- Strong analytical skills for organizing and interpreting complex data sets effectively.
- Proven ability to lead process improvements and optimize workflows for operational success.
