Payroll Specialist Overview
- The Payroll Specialist will oversee and manage multi-state payroll operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Provide expertise in Workday payroll system implementation, administration, and continuous improvement for efficient payroll processing.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to optimize payroll workflows and enhance system efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy and recommend improvements to internal controls.
- Support leadership with payroll metrics, analysis, and forecasting insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and taxable benefits reporting.
- Develop and maintain payroll documentation and compliance guidelines to ensure adherence to standards.
- Ensure timely resolution of payroll-related inquiries and issues, maintaining a high level of service.

Payroll Specialist Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll expertise.
- Proficiency in Workday payroll systems and experience with system implementation.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines effectively.
