Project Architect Overview

  • The Project Architect will lead and manage innovative architectural projects across diverse sectors, ensuring exceptional design quality and execution.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver creative, functional, and client-focused architectural solutions.
  • Develop and present comprehensive project proposals and designs, aligning with client visions and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and life-safety regulations throughout all project phases.
  • Foster team growth by mentoring staff and promoting a culture of creativity and excellence.
  • Participate in site analyses and material selection to support project goals and sustainability standards.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing strategies to ensure timely and profitable delivery.
  • Work in a newly designed downtown office with hybrid flexibility and exposure to diverse project types.

Project Architect Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead project teams through all design and construction phases, ensuring alignment with client objectives and budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and manage scope changes effectively to maintain project integrity.
  • Direct construction administration efforts, coordinating with contractors and consultants for timely execution.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, work plans, and staffing strategies to optimize resources.
  • Evaluate and select building systems and materials to meet design and performance standards.
  • Conduct thorough site analyses to inform design decisions and project planning.
  • Review team deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Mentor studio staff, fostering a culture of creativity, critical thinking, and high design standards.

Project Architect Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation or high-end food & beverage design.
  • Licensed architect in PA or OH; multistate registration is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, REVIT, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
  • Strong design and technical skills with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Previous experience in team leadership and project management is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally to oversee project progress and client relations.
