Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Overview

  • The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will provide expert clinical care to neonatal patients in a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment.
  • Utilize advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and manage neonatal conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, nursing staff, and families to deliver comprehensive, family-centered neonatal care.

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Key Responsibilities & Duties

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on neonatal care required.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Texas mandatory.
  • National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner preferred; candidates in certification programs may be considered.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Basic Life Support certifications required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in neonatal services preferred.
