Job Description

e-Billing Specialist Overview

  • The e-Billing Specialist is responsible for managing electronic billing processes for the firm's clients.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, billing staff, and clients to ensure accurate and timely invoice submissions.
  • Implement and onboard new clients onto eBilling platforms, maintaining client billing information.
  • Monitor invoice statuses, manage rejections, and resolve discrepancies to maximize recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with client guidelines and firm policies throughout the billing process.
  • Provide support and training to internal staff on eBilling procedures and client requirements.
  • This role offers a remote work arrangement with occasional onsite training and travel.

e-Billing Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Submit electronic invoices in accordance with client eBilling guidelines and timelines.
  • Monitor and resolve invoice rejections, reductions, and discrepancies efficiently.
  • Maintain and update client billing requirements and vendor portal settings.
  • Generate and analyze billing reports to track submission statuses and trends.
  • Coordinate with local offices to streamline workflows and ensure successful invoice processing.
  • Manage timekeeper approvals and submissions on client vendor sites.
  • Provide training and support to staff on eBilling systems and client requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and client standards in all billing activities.

e-Billing Specialist Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal billing or eBilling, preferably in a law firm.
  • Proficiency with eBilling platforms such as Legal Tracker, BillingPoint, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address billing issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and travel for training as needed.
