Senior Accountant – US GAAP and Stat Reporting Overview

  • Serve as a Senior Accountant specializing in US GAAP and statutory reporting for a dynamic organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while managing accounting processes for multiple legal entities.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, supporting organizational transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies and enhance financial operations.

Senior Accountant – US GAAP and Stat Reporting Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform financial close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet and cash reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage intercompany activities, collaborating with teams to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation.
  • Assist in preparing GAAP and regulatory financial statements for multiple entities.
  • Participate in special projects, such as system implementations and business integrations.
  • Enhance internal controls and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Senior Accountant – US GAAP and Stat Reporting Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience; 6 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and statutory reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems like Oracle.
  • Experience with Hyperion (HFM) or FCCS is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex accounting challenges.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Preferred experience in public accounting and insurance operations.
