IM Medical Director Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee the activities of a large team of healthcare practitioners, including primary care and multi-specialty physicians.
- Interpret and implement organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Develop and manage work schedules and assignments for the healthcare team.
- Assess physician performance and provide constructive feedback for professional growth.

IM Medical Director Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with active, unrestricted New York State Physician License.
- Board Certification in a relevant specialty and active NPI Number.
- DEA Certificate, BCLS Certification, and Infection Control Certificate.
- Completed NYS Department of Health mandated prescriber education in pain management within the past three years.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, with 7 years preferred, in a healthcare leadership role.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills to lead and collaborate effectively.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care to underserved communities.
- Ability to work on-site and engage with the healthcare team and patients directly.
