Job Description

Clinical Supervisor Overview

  • The Clinical Supervisor oversees innovative clinical services and professional development for licensed staff, ensuring timely access to quality care.
  • Lead the implementation of evidence-based treatment models and address gaps in clinical services effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and city regulations while maintaining program efficiency and fiscal viability.
  • Provide direct client services, including intakes and crisis interventions, as needed.
  • Monitor program operations, billing systems, and quality assurance activities to uphold standards of care.
  • Supervise crisis intervention services and integrate recovery and vocational components into program offerings.
  • Collaborate with training departments and external agencies to enhance clinical service delivery.
  • Facilitate team meetings and case conferences to ensure cohesive program management.

Clinical Supervisor Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and oversee innovative clinical services to meet community needs effectively.
  • Lead evidence-based treatment implementation and monitor client access to care.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to program staff to enhance service quality.
  • Participate in hiring, orientation, and performance appraisals for program staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and address fiscal or billing issues.
  • Facilitate meetings and conferences to support program operations and staff collaboration.
  • Monitor staff attendance and vacation scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Identify and develop systems to improve program efficiency and operations.
  • Serve as backup to program leadership, assuming operational responsibilities as needed.

Clinical Supervisor Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work and New York State LCSW clinical licensure required.
  • Solid clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices essential.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork, and communication skills necessary.
  • Experience in quality assurance activities, such as chart reviews and utilization management.
