Medical Laboratory Scientist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct routine and specialized diagnostic tests across multiple clinical laboratory sections.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, calibrated, and functioning optimally.
  • Analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability, and report findings promptly.
  • Adhere to strict laboratory protocols and regulatory standards for quality assurance.

Medical Laboratory Scientist Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field is required.
  • ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency with laboratory systems such as EPIC, Vitros, Unity, and WellSky is preferred.
  • Specialty certifications from ASCP are advantageous for advanced roles.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for precise testing and reporting.
