Staff Physician Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide primary care services to patients, focusing on HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention.
• Diagnose and manage chronic and acute medical conditions in an outpatient setting.
• Ensure patient safety and satisfaction through compassionate and culturally competent care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and clinic operations.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in shared call schedules to address patient needs effectively.
• Engage in continuous medical education to stay updated on best practices.
• Support organizational goals in advancing HIV and LGBTQ+ health research.

Staff Physician Job Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with valid state medical board license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably 5 years, in outpatient primary care.
• Prior experience treating and diagnosing HIV/AIDS patients is essential.
• Comfortable working with LGBTQ+ community and providing culturally sensitive care.
• Valid DEA and furnishing license required; AAHIVM certification within 18 months of hire.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
• Strong ability to manage patient caseloads of 15-18 patients per day.
