Vice President of Finance and Accounting Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage the monthly and period-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of journal entries.
• Maintain the integrity of financial records using NetSuite and other financial systems.
• Oversee tax and audit functions, addressing gaps and implementing corrective measures.
• Develop and present financial reports and KPIs to support executive decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align financial strategies with business objectives.
• Mentor and manage a team of finance professionals, fostering growth and accountability.

Vice President of Finance and Accounting Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 12–15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA certification highly preferred, showcasing technical accounting expertise.
• Proven experience in high-transaction-volume industries such as FinTech or payments processing.
• Hands-on proficiency with NetSuite and other financial systems preferred.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills to engage with leadership effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, fostering professional growth.
• Experience in private equity-backed or sponsor-owned companies is a plus.
