Job Description

Overview

  • Lead multifamily construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives and maintain standards.
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets and contractual agreements.
  • Develop and sustain strong client relationships, addressing needs and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including historic renovation requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Coordinate with field teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of project plans.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices and processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and timelines for multifamily construction projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure project alignment and progress.
  • Lead Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings to discuss updates and address concerns effectively.
  • Prepare and review RFIs, submittals, and other essential project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with National Park Service standards for historic renovation projects.
  • Mentor and support Assistant Project Managers and junior staff in their roles.
  • Monitor delegated design processes and coordinate effectively with MEP engineers.
  • Address client-facing responsibilities with professionalism and effective communication.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in GMP contract management and budget oversight is essential.
  • Experience in multifamily construction projects; historic renovation experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing detailed paperwork and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills for client-facing interactions and team coordination.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members successfully.
  • Willingness to relocate to Augusta and work on-site for the project duration.
