Overview

  • Lead estimation processes for large-scale construction projects, ensuring accurate cost analysis and budget alignment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive proposals and bid packages for client review.
  • Analyze project specifications and contracts to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
  • Provide leadership in estimating practices, mentoring junior estimators and fostering professional growth.
  • Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Utilize advanced software tools to streamline estimation processes and enhance accuracy.
  • Support organizational growth by contributing to strategic initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the estimation process.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for diverse construction projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to identify scope and requirements effectively.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve discrepancies and clarify project details.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Utilize estimation software to create accurate and efficient cost analyses and reports.
  • Monitor market trends and material costs to ensure estimates reflect current pricing.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators, fostering professional growth and development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating; 15 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale construction projects with precision.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard estimation software and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in cost analysis and budgeting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety regulations and standards.
