Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy.
- Prepare and record standard journal entries to maintain financial records.
- Collaborate with the outgoing team member to document accounting procedures and workflows.
- Assist in audit schedule preparation and organize relevant files for compliance.
- Actively participate in mapping and documenting existing workflows for operational efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting during the transitional period.
- Provide hands-on support to the accounting team with minimal supervision.
- Utilize Financial Edge NXT software for accounting tasks and reporting.
Staff Accountant Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and general ledger analysis.
- Strong communication skills to effectively document workflows and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with Financial Edge NXT software is highly desirable.
- Availability to work in a hybrid schedule with both remote and in-office days.
