Project Architect Overview
- As a Project Architect, you will lead architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring design integrity and technical accuracy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and functional architectural solutions.
- Engage with clients to understand project goals, present designs, and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards throughout project phases.
- Utilize advanced architectural software to produce high-quality construction documents.
- Mentor junior staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining quality standards.
- Participate in construction administration tasks, including site visits and responding to RFIs.

Project Architect Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the development of construction documents, ensuring alignment with design objectives and client requirements.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting collaboration and quality control.
- Participate in client meetings to present design solutions and gather feedback.
- Review architectural details for constructability and adherence to industry standards.
- Ensure all documentation complies with applicable codes, zoning regulations, and ADA standards.
- Assist in construction administration by responding to RFIs and conducting site visits.
- Coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
Project Architect Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3–7 years of professional architectural experience, focusing on construction documents and project coordination.
- Proficiency in Revit; knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and detailing.
- Familiarity with local building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating design concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Architectural licensure or active pursuit thereof is preferred but not required.
