Job Description

Project Architect Overview

  • As a Project Architect, you will lead architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring design integrity and technical accuracy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and functional architectural solutions.
  • Engage with clients to understand project goals, present designs, and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards throughout project phases.
  • Utilize advanced architectural software to produce high-quality construction documents.
  • Mentor junior staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining quality standards.
  • Participate in construction administration tasks, including site visits and responding to RFIs.
  • Contribute to a dynamic and collaborative work environment, driving project success.

Project Architect Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead the development of construction documents, ensuring alignment with design objectives and client requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting collaboration and quality control.
  • Participate in client meetings to present design solutions and gather feedback.
  • Review architectural details for constructability and adherence to industry standards.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with applicable codes, zoning regulations, and ADA standards.
  • Assist in construction administration by responding to RFIs and conducting site visits.
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.

Project Architect Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3–7 years of professional architectural experience, focusing on construction documents and project coordination.
  • Proficiency in Revit; knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and detailing.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating design concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Architectural licensure or active pursuit thereof is preferred but not required.
