Job Description

Overview

  • Lead surgical services operations to ensure exceptional patient care and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction within the surgical services department.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to expand service offerings and drive departmental growth.
  • Oversee budget planning and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and cost management.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff and teams.
  • Ensure surgical equipment and facilities meet accreditation and safety standards.
  • Provide leadership in staff development, engagement, and retention to build a high-performing team.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration to optimize patient care delivery and throughput.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, addressing performance gaps proactively.
  • Advance patient safety and quality outcomes through evidence-based practices and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead efforts to improve patient experience and satisfaction through innovative planning and execution.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to enhance staff performance and engagement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in surgical services; 5 years preferred.
  • 3+ years of applicable surgical services experience required; pediatric experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence-based practices in surgical services.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and departmental growth effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to inspire and engage teams.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
